Kaleidoscope

KALEIDOSCOPE - "a constantly changing pattern of objects or elements." This series is the latest evolution of my studies of natural forms which spans more than 18 years. Constantly challenging my vision, Kaleidoscope combines elements of my earlier explorations into realism, surrealism and abstract expressionism with a new freedom of form and composition. My signature technique of applying many transparent layers is still very apparent, only handled in a much more abstracted way with broad washes of overlapping colors, and bold brushstrokes.
